Iâ-hô-hoa kóng, "An-hioh-ji̍t sī Góa ê Sèng-ji̍t, nā lín ēng chit ji̍t chòe thang hoaⁿ-hí, thang chun-tiōng, ho̍k-sāi tī Góa, bô choan-bū chòe-kang, bô ài lim-chia̍h, bô chhut-chāi ka-kī ê ì-sù, bô kóng bô-iáⁿ-ōe." Chit chat sī Iâ-hô-hoa só͘ kóng·ê, ū 3 hāng sī tio̍h kiâⁿ·ê, 4 hāng sī m̄-thang chòe·ê, tú-tú thang chòe chit-ê lūn ê tôe-ba̍k. Taⁿ 3 hāng tio̍h kiâⁿ·ê sī sím-mi̍h? Thâu chi̍t hāng chiū-sī tio̍h lia̍h chit ji̍t chòe thang hoaⁿ-hí. Cháiⁿ-iūⁿ thang hoaⁿ-hí? In-ūi chit ji̍t sī lán ê Thiⁿ-pē siúⁿ-sù lán ê hok-khì ê ji̍t. Cháiⁿ-iūⁿ kóng sī hok-khì? In-ūi bô chòe-kang khah thang hioh-siān, hō͘ seng-khu khah khòaⁿ-oa̍h, sim-koaⁿ khah pêng-an, koh thang tha̍k Sèng-chheh, thiaⁿ tō-lí, iúⁿ-chhī sîn-hûn. Che chiū-sī hok-khì, koh lín nā chiàu Siōng-tè só͘ bēng-lēng lâi siú chit ji̍t, chiū ōe tit-tio̍h āu-ji̍t éng-oán an-hioh tī thian-kok ê hok-khì. Chit ji̍t kiám m̄ hoaⁿ-hí mah? Lán í-keng tit-tio̍h che hoaⁿ-hí ê ji̍t, chiū tio̍h pò pa̍t-lâng lâi tit-tio̍h che hoaⁿ-hí ê ji̍t, chiah lán ê sim ōe hoaⁿ-hí lâi siú an-hioh-ji̍t. Chhì-siūⁿ Boa̍t-tāi-lia̍p ê Má-lī-a kap pa̍t ê hū-jîn-lâng, in tī lán só͘ siú ê lé-pài-ji̍t, thiⁿ iáu-bē kng, chiū saⁿ-chio beh khì boah Iâ-so͘ ê sin-si, in lóng m̄-chai hit ji̍t sī thang hoaⁿ-hí ê ji̍t, siōng-chhiáⁿ hiah chá saⁿ-chio khì, hô-hòng lán í-keng chai chit ji̍t sī lán ê Chú koh oa̍h thang hoaⁿ-hí ê ji̍t, kiám m̄-tio̍h liōng-chá saⁿ-chio kàu lé-pài-tn̂g saⁿ-kap hióng-hok hoaⁿ-hí.
Tê-jī hāng, tio̍h lia̍h chit ji̍t chòe thang chun-tiōng. Cháiⁿ-iūⁿ thang chun-tiōng? In-ūi 6 ji̍t ê tiong-kan Iâ-hô-hoa chhòng-chō thiⁿ, tōe, hái, bān-mi̍h 7 ji̍t soah, ēng chit ji̍t chòe Sèng-ji̍t, koh tī chhit ji̍t ê thâu chi̍t ji̍t chiū-sī lán só͘ siú ê lé-pài-ji̍t, sī lán ê Kiù-chú khah iâⁿ sí koh-oa̍h ê ji̍t. Chit ji̍t kám m̄-tio̍h chun-tiōng mah? Chhì-siūⁿ nî-choeh, chhoe-it cha̍p-gō͘ kap pu̍t siⁿ-ji̍t, sī thàn sè-sio̍k ê hū-jîn-lâng só͘ chun-tiōng ê ji̍t, hit ji̍t sī kó͘-chá lâng só͘ siat·ê, bô sím-mi̍h thang lī-ek lâng, lâng to teh chun-tiōng, hô-hòng lé-pài-ji̍t sī Siōng-tè siat beh lī-ek lâng, lán kèng koh khah tio̍h chun-tiōng chit ji̍t.
Tē-saⁿ hāng, tio̍h ho̍k-sāi Siōng-tè. Cháiⁿ-iūⁿ chiah-sī ho̍k-sāi Siōng-tè? M̄-sī chhin-chhiūⁿ sè-sio̍k lâng chng-siōng, siá miâ, sio-hiuⁿ, tiám-chek lâi ho̍k-sāi, ia̍h m̄-sái chhin-chhiūⁿ chá Í-sek-lia̍t sio seng-lé chè-mi̍h lâi ho̍k-sāi; sī tio̍h ēng sîn, ēng sêng-si̍t gîm-si, o-ló, kî-tó kèng-pài ê ho̍k-sāi, ia̍h tio̍h kà lâng tha̍k si, tha̍k Sèng-chheh, pò chhù-piⁿ thâu-bé ê hū-jîn-lâng lâi ho̍k-sāi. Koh tôe-iân lo̍h kàu-hōe, í-ki̍p chòe kiù-lâng lī-ek lâng ê hó-sū, ia̍h thang kóng sī ho̍k-sāi Siōng-tè. Chiah-ê sī lé-pài-ji̍t só͘ tio̍h kiâⁿ·ê.
Lūn m̄-thang chòe·ê ū 4 hāng. Thâu chi̍t hāng, m̄-thang chòe kang, chiū-sī m̄-thang chòe lán 6 ji̍t só͘ teh chòe ê lú-kang, ia̍h sī kóng m̄-thang chòe bóe-bōe sia-chioh ê tāi-chì. M̄-nā ka-kī m̄-thang chòe kang, chiū kiáⁿ, cha-bó͘-kiáⁿ, chhe-ēng ê lâng, cheng-siⁿ kap lâng-kheh hioh tī lán tau·ê, ia̍h m̄-thang hō͘ in chòe-kang, koh m̄-nā seng-khu m̄-thang chòe-kang, sim ia̍h m̄-thang chòe-kang. Ū lâng siūⁿ lé-pài-ji̍t m̄-thang chòe lú-kang, tio̍h lâi phòa kóa chhâ, chhiūⁿ kóa chúi, sóe-tn̄g, piàⁿ-sàu, bián-tit bîn-á-ji̍t tio̍h tio̍h kia̍h-chiam bô-êng. Koh ū lâng bóe mi̍h hō͘ gín-ná chia̍h, kóng teh lé-pài ê sî khah bōe chhá; ū lâng lé-pài-ji̍t tú-tio̍h lâng-kheh lâi, siūⁿ m̄-thang bóe mi̍h, chiū khì chioh-sia lâi chhiáⁿ lâng-kheh, á-sī kā lâng sia-chioh saⁿ-á-kûn, chiam-á thâu-chhah, kap kià lâng bóe-bōe, che iā sī chòe-kang. Siōng-tè ū kóng, "Hoān-nā chit ji̍t chòe kang·ê tek-khak kū-choa̍t i tī peh-sìⁿ ê tiong-kan." Chhut Ai-ki̍p-kì 31:14.

Che m̄-sī kóng lâng chhùi-ta m̄-thang lin, iau m̄-thang chia̍h, sī kóng m̄-thang pān-toh lâi lim-chia̍h, m̄-thang chhiáⁿ lâng lâi lim-chia̍h, ia̍h m̄-thang hō͘ lâng chhiáⁿ khì lim-chia̍h. Ū lâng siūⁿ kin-á-ji̍t lâng teh koah-hiuⁿ, chng-lâng, bó͘-lâng ū khí tōa-chhù, bó͘-lâng beh kè kiáⁿ, bó͘-lâng beh chhōa sim-pū, góa tio̍h chng khah súi lâi-khì lé-pài, thang sòa lâi-khì khòaⁿ, á-sī lâi-khì thiaⁿ lâng kóng sím-mi̍h tāi-chì. Che sī thàn ka-kī ê ì-sù lâi lām-sám kiâⁿ.
Tē-sì hāng, m̄-thang kóng bô-iáⁿ-ōe, chiū nā êng-ōe, chhiò-ōe, ki-chhì lâng, húi-pòng lâng, siat-to̍k lâng, lóe-mē lang, í-ki̍p lóng-chóng bô ha̍p-lí ê ōe, lóng m̄-thang kóng. Ū lâng tī lé-pài-ji̍t kàu lé-pài-tn̂g lóng-sī teh kóng i ê pē-bú, ke-koaⁿ, kiáⁿ-jî, sim-pū, chí-bē, tâng-sāi, chhin-chhek, chhù-piⁿ ê tāi-chì, á-sī chiù-chhàm ka-kī phah-mē kiáⁿ-jî. Chiah-ê lóng-sī lé-pài-ji̍t só͘ m̄-thang chòe·ê. Siōng-tè tē 4 tiâu-kài ū kóng, "Tio̍h ēng an-hioh-ji̍t chòe sèng ê ji̍t, éng-éng kì-tit, m̄-thang bōe kì-tit." Khó-sioh lâng siông-siông ài bōe kì-tit chit ji̍t sī sèng-ji̍t. Taⁿ nā pháiⁿ kì-tî ê lâng, thang ēng hún ūi hit piah·ni̍h, tùi pài-it khí chi̍t ji̍t ūi chi̍t u̍ih, nā kàu 6 u̍ih, chiū chai bîn-á-ji̍t sī lé-pài-ji̍t, thang ē-hng ta̍k-hāng chhòng tiâu-ti̍t, chiah ōe choan siú an-hioh-ji̍t.

《以賽亞》58:13,耶和華講,「安歇日是我的聖日,若汝用即日做[2]通歡喜,通尊重,服侍佇我,無專務做工,無愛啉食,無出在家己的意思,無講無影話。」即節是耶和華所講的,有3項是著行的,4項是毋通做的,拄拄通做即个論的題目。當3項著行的是甚物?頭一項就是著掠即日做通歡喜。怎樣通歡喜?因為即日是咱的天父賞賜咱的福氣的日。怎樣講是福氣?因為無做工通歇𤺪,予身軀較快活,心肝較平安,故通讀聖冊,聽道理,養飼神魂。這就是福氣,故恁若照上帝所命令來守即日,就會得著後日永遠安歇佇天國的福氣。即日敢毋歡喜嘛?咱已經得著這歡喜的日,就著報別儂來得著這歡喜的日,㱏咱的心會歡喜來守安歇日。試想「抹大拉的馬利亞」佮別的婦人儂,𢙠佇咱所守的禮拜日,天猶未光,就相招卜去抹耶穌的身屍,𢙠攏毋知彼日是通歡喜的日,尚且遐早相招去,何況咱已經知即日是咱的主故活通歡喜的日,敢毋著冗早相招到禮拜堂相合享福道理。
第二項,著掠即日做通尊重。怎樣通尊重?因為6日的中間耶和華創造天、地、海、萬物,7日煞,用即日做聖日,故佇七日的頭一日,就是咱所守的禮拜日,是咱的救主較贏死,故活的日。即日敢毋著尊重嘛?試想,年節、初一、十五佮佛生日,是趁世俗的婦人儂所尊重的日,彼日是古早儂所設的,無甚物通利益儂,儂都咧尊重,何況禮拜日是上帝設卜利益儂,咱更故較著尊重即日。
第三項,著服侍上帝。怎樣㱏是服侍上帝?毋是親像世俗儂粧像、寫名、燒香、點燭來服侍,亦毋使親像早以色列儂燒牲禮、祭物來服侍,是著用神,用誠實吟詩、呵咾、祈禱,敬拜的服侍,亦著教儂讀詩,讀聖冊,報厝邊頭尾的婦人儂來服侍。故題捐落教會,以及做救儂,利益儂的好事。亦通講是服侍上帝。遮个是禮拜日所著行的。
論毋通做的有4項。頭一項,毋通做工,就是毋通做咱6日所咧做的女工,亦是講毋通做買賣、賒借的事誌。毋但家己毋通做工,就囝、諸姥囝、差用的儂,精牲佮儂客歇佇咱兜的,亦毋通予𢙠做工,故毋但身軀毋通做工,心亦毋通做工。有儂想禮拜日我毋通做女工,著來破寡柴,上寡水,洗蕩、摒掃,免得明仔日著揭針無閒。故有儂買物予囡仔食,講咧禮拜的時較𣍐吵;有儂禮拜日拄著儂客來,想毋通買物,就去借賒來請儂客,抑是共儂賒借衫仔裙,簪仔頭插,佮寄儂買賣,這也是做工。上帝有講,「凡若即日做工的,的確拒絕伊佇百姓的中間。」(《出埃及記》31:14)
第二項,毋通愛啉食。這毋是講儂喙焦毋通啉,枵毋通食,是講毋通辦桌來啉食,毋通請儂來啉食,亦毋通予儂請去啉食。我捌聽見有儂逐擺到禮拜日,常常㱏煮到真鬧熱來啉食,亦有儂佇禮拜日拄著初一、生日,猶原親像平常的生日、初一,辦來啉食,有儂佇禮拜日請儂客來啉食,有儂佇禮拜日予儂請去啉食。這千萬毋通,因為禮拜日是聖日,著佮平常日較各樣,看世俗的婦人儂佇服侍佛的日,尚且卜食菜,減大頓,何況咱佇服侍主的日,敢通顧啉食嘛?
第三項,毋通出在家己的意思,就是毋通放縱私慾,想所毋應該想,看所毋應該看,聽所毋應該聽,行所毋應該行。可惜佇禮拜日儂永是想愛家己的榮光,愛家己的利益,罕得想榮光上帝佮利益儂的事。有儂想今仔日儂咧割香[3]、妝儂[4],某儂有起厝,某儂咧嫁囝,某儂卜抴新婦,我著妝較水,來去禮拜,通紲來去看,抑是來去聽儂講甚物事誌。這是趁家己的意思來濫糝行。
第四項,毋通講無影話。就若閒話、笑話、譏刺儂、毀謗儂、褻瀆儂、詈罵儂,以及攏總無合理的話,攏毋通講。有儂佇禮拜堂攏是咧講伊的父母、家倌[5]、囝兒、新婦、姊妹、同姒、親戚、厝邊的事誌,抑是咒懺家己,拍罵囝兒。遮个攏是禮拜日所毋通做的。上帝第4條戒有講,「著用安歇日做聖的日,永永記得,毋通𣍐記得。」可惜儂常常愛𣍐記得即日是聖日。當若否記持的儂,通用粉畫彼个壁裡,對拜一起,一日畫一劃,若到6劃,就知明仔日是禮拜日,通暝昏逐項創條直,㱏會專守安歇日。
