Kàu-hōe beh siat tī sin ê tōe-hng, ū chōe-chōe hāng ê hùi-khì, in-ūi lâng bē chai chit-ê tō-lí ê ì-sù, bōe-bián-tit sim khǹg gî-he̍k, lia̍h thoân-tō ê lâng káⁿ ū chûn pa̍t-hō ê sim-ì, kî-tiong kiù-lâng ê hó-sū, in bōe khoài bêng ê iân-kò͘. Hit-ê khiuⁿ-kháu saⁿ-tâng ê só͘-chāi, ōe liâm-piⁿ thang kóng tō-lí lâi hián-bêng lán ê ì-sù, nā-sī tī khiuⁿ-kháu bô pîⁿ ê só͘-chāi, tek-khak khah ûi-lân, in-ūi bōe kóng chhut chhiat-iàu ê ōe, thang chhián-bêng hok-im ê kong-iōng, chhin-chhiūⁿ goán hiān-chāi tī Theng-chiu hú sio̍k ê tōe-hng, só͘ keng-kè ê chiū-sī lán eng-kai tio̍h ēng hong-hoat pang-chān tō-lí khah khoài thong-hêng. 1. Tio̍h siat-o̍h chio ha̍k-seng. Tō-lí chho͘ kàu ê só͘-chāi, bē ū hōng-kàu ê lâng, kàu-gōa ê gín-á thang chio in lâi tha̍k-chheh, hō͘ in ū ki-hōe thang o̍h tō-lí, ǹg-bāng sòe-hàn ê gín-á sim khah ńg, tō-lí khah khoài siū kám-tōng, ná chhin-chhiūⁿ chéng-chí chèng tī in ê sim, āu-lâi thang kiat-si̍t siu-sêng.
Koh ōe tùi gín-á thang kau-pôe in ê tōa-lâng, khiám-chhái ū ki-hōe thang ín-chhōa in lâi sìn Chú. Siat-sú bô lóng-chóng ōe chiâⁿ mi̍h, nā kî-tiong ū saⁿ-kúi lâng tit-tio̍h kiù, lī-ek iā m̄-sī sió-khóa, ná khí-thâu tī Ē-mn̂g chi̍t-iūⁿ, chit-ê siat-o̍h chio ha̍k-seng sī put-chí chhiat-iàu.
2. Tio̍h siat i-koán khòaⁿ-pīⁿ sàng-io̍h. Sè-kan bô chi̍t-lâng m̄-bat phòa-pīⁿ, ū pīⁿ ê lâng sim chīn ài kín hó, ū-ê sòng-hiong bô chîⁿ thang chhiáⁿ i-seng bóe io̍h, kek thang khó-lîn. Koh ū-ê sui-jiân ū chîⁿ thang chhiáⁿ i-seng bóe io̍h, iáu-kú bô bêng-i thang chhiáⁿ, tì-kàu chōe-chōe bô kiù, sit-lo̍h sìⁿ-miā.
Lán kàu-hōe m̄-nā sī ēng tō-lí kiù lâng, iā ài o̍h Kiù-chú éng-oán-oa̍h, chit-hō m̄-sī khoài-khoài khòaⁿ chhut, tek-khak tio̍h siū Sèng-sîn kám-tōng ê lâng chiām-chiām ná bêng; nā-sī kiù sin-khu sī lang-lang liâm-piⁿ khòaⁿ ōe chhut, hō͘ lâng chai lán ê kàu-hōe sī kiâⁿ hó-sū, tùi án-ni hō͘ chiū-i ê lâng ū ki-hōe thang thiaⁿ hok-im ǹg-bāng kî-tiong ū lâng ōe hōe-chôe sìn Chú tit-kiù. Sui-jiân bô ta̍k lâng ōe sio̍k tī kàu-hōe, iáu-kú iā thang kau-pôe chōe-chōe lâng chòe lán ê pêng-iú, bián kap lán saⁿ tùi-te̍k, chhin-chhiūⁿ tī Choân-chiu hú ū tōa ê pîn-kù. Kàu lāi-tōe thoân kàu i-koán iàu-kín tio̍h kiàn-tì.
3. Tio̍h ēng hū-jîn-lâng ê kang. Tī theng-chiu hú sio̍k ê tōe-hng, hū-jîn-lâng bô sím-mi̍h tùi-tiōng pa̍k-kha, chí-ū hú-siâⁿ ū saⁿ-kúi lâng nā-tiāⁿ, ta̍k-ê hū-jîn-lâng put-chí ū khùi-la̍t, ōe chiūⁿ-soaⁿ taⁿ-tàⁿ, chhut-mn̂g bóe-bōe, bô kiu-kiu tiàm tī chhu-lāi, giám-jiân ū lú-tiōng-hu ê khì-khài, chòe hū-jîn-lâng ê kang sī chīn hó ki-hōe. Taⁿ kóng saⁿ-hāng. 1. Sī lú-thoân-tō thang kà-sī tō-lí, ta-po͘-lâng kà hū-jîn-lâng put-chí khah oh, sī hō͘ Tiong-kok ê hong-sio̍k só͘ khu, nā ū lú-thoân-tō sī chin hong-piān, iā chin hó ki-hōe. 2. Sī lú i-seng thang khòaⁿ pīⁿ. Hū-jîn-lâng ū chōe-chōe pīⁿ-chèng oh-tit tùi ta-po͘-lâng kóng chhut·ê, nā ū lú i-seng thang khòaⁿ hū-jîn-lâng ê chèng koh-khah tōa lī-ek. 3. Sī lú-o̍h hō͘ cha-bó͘ gín-á thang siū kà-sī. Cha-bó͘-gín-á sī koan-hē ke ê heng-soe, nā tī sòe-hàn ê sî ū tit-tio̍h kà-sī, kàu tōa-lâng chòe-kheh lí-ke kà kiáⁿ chiū ū hong-hoat, hit-ê ke tek-khak ū hok-khì, só͘-í lī-ek cha-bó͘ gín-á sī put-chí iàu-kín ê sū; ēng chit-hō hū-jîn-lâng ê kang ōe tōa lī-ek kàu-hōe, lán tio̍h kín-kín kè-bô͘.
Iáu ū chōe-chōe ê hó-sū, lán hiān-chāi bē ōe kiâⁿ·ê, tio̍h thèng-hāu Tiong-kok ê kàu-hōe tōa heng, hoān-nā sio̍k tī Ki-tok ê lâng, tek-khak tio̍h tâng-sim hia̍p-le̍k lâi chòe. 教會未設佇新的地方,有濟濟項的費氣,因為儂未知即个道理的意思,𣍐免得心囥疑惑,掠傳道的儂敢有存別號的心意,其中救儂的好事,𢙠𣍐快明的緣故。彼个腔口相同的所在,會連鞭通講道理來顯明咱的意思,若是佇腔口無平[1]的所在,的確較為難,因為𣍐講出切要的話,通淺明福音的功用,親像阮現在佇汀州府屬[2]的地方,所經過的就是咱應該著用方法通幫贈道理較快通行。當略仔講起三項佇下面。
1、著設學招學生。道理初到的所在,未有奉教的儂,教外的囡仔通招𢙠來讀冊,予𢙠有機會通學道理,眏望細漢的囡仔心較軟,道理較快受感動,若親像種子種佇𢙠的心,後來通結實收成。
故會對囡仔通交陪𢙠的大儂,敢彩有機會通引抴𢙠來信主。設使無攏總會成物,若其中有三幾儂得著救,利益也毋是小可。若起頭佇廈門一樣,即个設學招學生是不止切要。
2、著設醫館看病送藥。世間無一儂毋捌破病,有病的儂心盡愛緊好,有的喪兇無錢通請醫生買藥,極通可憐。故有的雖然有錢通請醫生買藥,猶故無明醫通請,致到濟濟無救,失落性命。
咱教會毋但是用道理救儂,也愛學救主救儂的身軀。論得著永遠活,即號毋是快快看出,的確著受聖神感動的儂暫暫乃明;但是救身軀是儂儂連鞭看會出,予儂知咱的教會是行好事,對按呢予就醫的儂有機會通聽福音,眏望其中有儂會反悔信主得救。雖然無逐儂會屬佇教會,猶故也通交陪濟濟儂做咱的朋友,免佮咱相對敵,親像佇泉州府有大的憑據。到內地傳教,醫館要緊著建置。
3、著用婦人儂的工。佇汀州府屬的地方,婦人儂無甚物對重縛骹,只有府城有三幾儂但但,逐个婦人儂不止有氣力,會上山擔擔,出門買賣,無勼勼坫佇厝內,儼然有女丈夫的氣慨,做婦人儂的工是盡好機會。當講三項,(1)是女傳道通教示道理,諸夫儂教婦人儂不止較僫,是予中國的風俗所拘,若有女傳道是真方便,也真好機會。(2)是女醫生通看病。婦人儂有濟濟病症僫得對諸夫儂講出的,若有女醫生通看婦人儂的症故較大利益。(3)是女學予諸姥囡仔通受教示。諸姥囡仔是關係家的興衰,若佇細漢的時有得著教示,到大儂做客[3]理家、教囝就有方法,彼个家的確有福氣。所以利益諸姥囡仔是不止要緊的事。用即號婦人儂的工會大利益教會,咱著緊緊計謀。
猶有濟濟的好事,咱現在未會行的,著聽候中國的教會大興。凡若屬佇基督的儂,的確著同心協力來做。我所願的,就是頂面三項會先行,求上帝開路予咱的教會會得著儂佮力,通成遮个好事佇汀州府城紲到佇所屬的八縣,對按呢道理流通,濟濟儂歸主得著救。(周之德寫的)
